A chopstick rest made of tin with the motif of a Mizuhiki knot ("Musubi" in Japanese), which is considered auspicious in Japan.
From left side to right side:
Kano Musubi: When viewed from the front, the knot looks like a "mouth", and when viewed from the back, it looks like the number "ten" in Japanese kanji.
Aioi Musubi: Aioi means "to grow out of one place in contact with each other". It can be compared to the meaning of "grow together" and "the couple will live longer together."
Awaji Musubi: Once tied, it is difficult to untie, and it contains the wish that it will not be untied for a long time and that it will remain firmly connected.
Kata-chou Musubi: Because it can be easily untied and re-tied, it is used in the sense of "congratulations, no matter how many times you do it".
Daki-awaji Musubi: Similar meaning to the Awaji knot. However the Daki-awaji is a shape which the left and the right rings are connected. It is said that it has the meaning of "strongly tying the edge" because of its shape, which is tied even stronger when both ends are pulled.
Because it is 100% tin, it has antibacterial properties and can be used safely as tableware.
It is also soft and can be used by changing its shape. One box contains chopstick rests with 5 different patterns.
