About Masahiro Tsubota
Artist

In 1970, graduated from Osaka University of Arts, Department of Fine Arts. Currently a professor in the art department of Osaka University of Arts. Tsubota has held many solo and group exhibitions both domestically and internationally, including the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Modern Art and the Bradford International Print Biennale. Tsubota has received numerous awards including the Blue Mer Prize, the Himeji Cultural Prize, and the Krakow International Print Triennial Purchase Award. Also has many domestic and international museum collections.
 

About kakejiku art

For more than 50 years, Kaitakudo Art Co.,Ltd. has been making Kakejiku (Hanging scrolls) in Gifu Prefecture, Japan, which has a long history supported by the blessings of nature and traditional techniques. They created “kakejiku art” , as part of the development of new Kakejiku that preserve and inherit tradition, nurture the skills of the creators, and blend in with modern life.
