"Four Seasons" by Masaki Hisatani
"Rinpa Modern" is inspired by Koetsu Village, founded by Hon'ami Koetsu in Takamine, Kyoto during the early Edo period, recognized as the birthplace of the Rinpa school. This artistic tradition was carried forward by Tawaraya Sotatsu and Ogata Korin, and over 400 years later, it continues to influence contemporary artists who identify with the Rinpa style. The enduring appeal of Rinpa lies in its simplicity and free-spiritedness, qualities that resonate with modern artistic sensibilities.
